Not listed? Search the Settings app for eSIM or SIM manager — faster than hunting through menus.
Installing
- 1 Open the menu for your brand above and choose to add an eSIM.
- 2 Scan the QR code from your order. If the code is on the screen you are holding, tap Enter manually and paste the activation details instead.
- 3 Confirm when the phone offers to download the plan.
- 4 Name the line something you will recognise — Travel data, or the country. Not “SIM 2”.
- 5 Set mobile data to the new line, and leave calls and texts on your own number.
- 6 Turn roaming on for the eSIM and off for your home line. This is the step that prevents a roaming bill.
When you land
- Your plan starts on its first connection abroad, not when you install it.
- When you land, turn the travel line on and give it a minute to find a network.
- If nothing connects after a few minutes, toggle Airplane mode once.
